Tyler Childers announces 2019 tour dates

By Matt Wickstrom

NEW YORK, NY — Lawrence County, Kentucky, native Tyler Childers has announced a slew of new headlining tour dates in 2019 that includes a two night run at Covington, Ky.’s Madison Theatre on March 27 and 28. Other new tour stops include Houston, New Orleans and Charleston, SC; among others. View Childers’ tour itinerary below.

Childers’ stock has soared since the August 2017 release of debut album Purgatory, with the artist selling out shows across the country, making debut appearances at a number of locations including Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Coliseum and winning the AMA’s Emerging Artist of the Year, among other feats.

Many of Childers’ songs, — most notably “Lady May” — refer to wife Senora May, a singer-songwriter herself who recently released her debut Lainhart in September. She’ll be talking about that and much more when she joins host Matt Wickstrom for Wick’s Picks on Lexington Community Radio on Monday, Dec. 17. Other guests for the show include Rachel Crowe and special guest host Alexis Faye. Listen on the dial at 93.9 FM or online at lexingtoncommunityradio.org.
