After a lineup change at the end of 2017, Lexington newgrassers The Wooks are back with a new tune, “Me and the Stars,” co-written by the group’s newest member, Aaron Bibelhauser, who came aboard last July.

According to Bluegrass Today, Bibelhauser co-wrote “Me and the Stars” with Pat Younger and recorded at Rickey Wasson’s Main Street Studio in Clay City, Ky. Joining the band for the song is fiddler Michael Cleveland, an Indiana native who has grown to be a fixture in the regional bluegrass scene.

The remaining lineup of The Wooks is Arthur Hancock (guitar), C.J. Cain (guitar) and Roddy Puckett (bass) in addition to Bibelhauser on banjo.

After a performance in Louisville tonight with Lil Smokies, The Wooks embark out west for a slew of performances that include Winter WonderGrass before returning home for a handful of regional and east coast dates.

Stay tuned for more information as the band anticipates a new record later this year by following Big Blue Tunes and by visiting
